Erin Conron is an Australian glass artist whose practice explores the intersection of surface, light, and form through both kiln-formed and blown glass processes. Born and raised in Canberra, Erin completed an Honours degree in Glass at the Australian National University in 2008. Since graduating, she has worked as a studio artist, established and managed a glass company, and shared her passion for visual arts as a secondary school educator.
Erin’s work has been exhibited widely in both national and international contexts, and she has been selected as a finalist for numerous awards, including the Tom Malone Glass Prize, the Ranamok Glass Prize, the Hindmarsh Glass Prize, and the Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize. In 2019, she was awarded the Queanbeyan City Art Prize, recognising her continued contribution to contemporary glassmaking.
Her work is represented in several significant public and private collections, including Australia’s National Art Glass Collection, the European Museum of Modern Glass in Germany, and the Kaplan-Ostergaard Glass Collection at the Palm Springs Art Museum in the United States.
Most recently, Erin was awarded an established artist residency with Artisan Queensland and Canberra Glassworks. Now based on the Sunshine Coast, she continues to evolve her practice from her purpose-built studio in Verrierdale, where she lives with her husband and two daughters.
